Weird Alarm Problem in 85 190
I parked a 1985 190e-2.3 in a garage and the battery went totally dead. When I went to start with a jump, the alarm system went crazy. Same thing when I tried to hook up a trickle charger without disconnecting the battery. Has anyone dealt with this problem? Any clues about the best road to a fix? None of the doors or the trunk are locked, and that's all the owner's manual has to offer about this.

possible bad alarm module.
Corrosion, age or reverse polarity can do this.
