Question w201 to w123 parts interchange?

I have an 86 190E at work, is there anything worth snatching off it for a w123?

Door check straps?
Seats? Specificaly the excellent lower seat spring on the pass side?
And/or the seat back?
Power Ant?

Anything else?

Power antenna may swap, but I'd check first. I don't believe anything else will, though -- door checks are different, so is ALL the door hardware, including switches.

Sorry.

You might want to pull the cruise amp and overvoltage relay. We recently had one appear (same year) at the local pick-a-part and I pulled those items, just because. I currently have a "rebuilt" cruise amp from an '84 300SD in my '87 300TD, so at least some amps will work in other applications. I'll bet the power lock vacuum motor would work to switch your 123 over to the newer style lock system.

I have the vac pump from an SDL already, but I might pull this for a spare.

The cruise amp I pulled ages ago, and it's different than the 14 pin type, smaller, smaller pins, same number though. ~shrug~

I really wanted that nice springy firm seat spring.
The seat back also wraped around nicer too..

Oh well.

Don't know if the seats are the same size (I can check). If so, the springs will probably fit.

I can use the wood trim around the shifter (mine is torn up where someone tried to pry it out) and the dash (huge crack). Probably other stuff after I look around some.

I don't know what I'm going to do with the seat covers -- burgundy leather, badly torn on both fronts.

Assorted nuts and bolts will interchange and are handy to have around.

nothing interchanges, the antenna plug is different, seats are different, basically other than the 3-way vacuum splitters under the hood nothing is the same
besides, the quality is a little worse than the 123

The engines are excellent, but the overall chassis is not as good as the 123

Since you asked...

I'm really and truly hoping to get our rally racer out on some stage miles this year. Right now I'm having loads of trouble with hard starting and engine stumbling until fully warmed up. Even after warm-up, it still stumbles coming off the line until about 3000 RPM. Any ignition parts and/or injection parts and/or chassis parts that would work on my car that you'd care to donate to the team would really come in handy as spares on the hauler. Never know what you might break on stage and need at the next service...

Shoot me an e-mail if you'd like to talk more.

Best Regards,
Rob
