The buses in our fleet are either rev limited to 62 mph, as Diesel Power stated, or they are electronically limited. We have 1 old beast left in the fleet that has a Detroit 8.2 in it and is geared so it can pull into the mid 80s (it'll peg the speedo), but it takes forever in a day to get there and sounds like it is going to blow up in the process.
