Back from vacation, 2700 miles on my coupe
Took the 300CD to San Antonio and made many stops along the way there and back (New Orleans, Battleship Park, Atlanta, etc.). Put all of 2750 miles on it (now over 255,000) and the only problems I had were two clogged fuel pre-filters (need to look into why). This thing loves to cruise anywhere between 75 and 85mph. Rides so smooth and quite there. Got sick with an awful chest cold on the second day of the trip and keep it throughout, but otherwise had a great time and even got to see quite a few 123s along the way (meet a couple owners).

A simple visual test
When we find primary fuel filters clogging up, I often drain about four gallons of diesel from a suspect car's fuel tank into a Nalgene jug (glass five gallon water bottles work well too). It should be somewhat clear and easy to see to the bottom. If it's brownish or cloudy, add Biobor JF to kill your fungus.
