Weird Noise from 300SD
Yes I am at it again. Anyway, after I changed the oil and all that good stuff, I noticed when the car is cold and i accelerate the engine slowly there's a thumping noise. Not a bang, but it sounds like a lot of blowby. Now, my valved need to be adjusted for sure, but I also changed oil weights. I'm running 10W40 now, so I'm wondering if that has an effect on it? The manual said it was allright to use, but the engine is getting old, so I should probably use something thicker. What do you guys think?
