Alternator Wiring

As a new 300CD owner (I love this forum) I am updating my car and one of the updates is the alternator. Due to plans of updating the stereo I am installing an AL129X alternator in place of the original 55 amp. The question is that my car has 3 wires on the alternator and of course the new alternator has a completly different wire attachment system. Due to national backorder on service CD (MB) I have no access to the wiring diagram and was hoping for some help on which wire goes where on the new alternator...Any help would be greatly appreciated.......

The search works great for this kind of stuff.

Installed a 143A alternator in my W124 (86-95E-class) - with photos

Use advanced search then click search titles only and type in alternator.

Hope this helps.
