BFD. They had a pink Chevy 1500 truck on the sales lot for the longest time. Seller was pissed that they offered him $500 less than the average value. They told him that nobody forced him to buy a pink truck and that they would have trouble selling a pink truck to a guy.

If you painted the car with some brown and gray you'd have a pretty good camo scheme going so that you can drive off the road into the bushes when the police are chasing you ;)

At least you would never confuse that one with another Benz in a shopping mall parking lot.

Not that I can talk... my 92 Mustang GT was repainted green at one time (had been white). Only problem is they didn't replace the RED interior. Yuck! I bought it, though, because it was 100% stock, right down to the air box silencer. Most of them have been beaten to death by kids, so I counted myself lucky. Chris |
I didn't mind the color, love my blk on blk better. It sure was a good price @ only $2150. That's a whole-lot-a car for just over two grand.

I like that color combo. You Houston guys saw the 300SD at the meet, so I guess you understand why. Those seats would look good in the 300SD. Hmmmm.... thinking..... :bulb:

Just need a matching leisure suit, cowboy hat and alligator boots...

Dunno about you, but I'm looking forward to the day automakers start splashing color on cars again. Look at a freeway sometime -- mostly monochromatic white, black and silver with the occasional red, about as daring as anyone gets. A ribbon of dullness -- like too many PIBS (people in black) at a pseudo-hip party.
Give me back the rainbow -- the light blues, avocados, browns, oranges, reds, and burgandies -- that MB painted their cars when I worked for them in the mid '70s. Emerald green? Time to return to Oz. |

Is there a plaque on the dash that says "Built especially for Kermit T. Frog"? :D

Actually, I kinda' like it. I like unusual shades of green, blue, etc... It's the dark browns and golds that I can't stand. Mike |

I would own it even if its not my favorite color if the price was right...it looked to be in great shape. |
Wasn't that car formerly owned by the Wizard of Oz?
Or maybe that was one of the Emerald City's municipal vehicles? :D |
