Can somebody help I am looking for an Owners Manual for a 1982 300 SD this is my first diesel car and just love it.

Thank you for your advice I lost a couple on eBay and as of today I was not able to find another, but I will keep searching for it, I have the repair manual by Haynes but that one don't tell about the yellow light at the bottom of the instrument cluster (the one with a circle on it) it cames on when it's raining and I press the brake pedal.

The yellow indicator tells you that your brake wear sensors are shorting out, either because the pads have reached their wear limit or because the insulation on the wire has cracked and is touching something.

1-800-FOR-MERC(EDES). They usually have oner's manuals for about ten bucks.

Buy one of the $10-$20 service manuals on CD on eBay. There's always 10 or so listed.

I second that buy one of those W126 CD's. It is the best $20 I have spent.

I hope you got a better cd set than I did. Mine is just a bunch of unlabled pdf's, and you have to open them to see what they are. I'm still hoping for hard copy manuals someday...

When i got mine, I thought the same thing. But i searched the CDs and there's a file on them that I put a shortcut on my desktop to when I put the CD in.
My CDs are at the other place on my other PC. If someone else hasn't replied with the right file name by next weekend, I'll post it here.
It took me a while searching through all the files trying to figure it out. List the files by "details" and look for a file that's an "application". I think if you click on that file, you'll get the Benz driving around the corner video and then just follow the buttons.

Hmm mines different. It pops up on autorun with a nice little video of a blue W126 driving. It says "welcome to the model W126 service library, for more information contact MB." Then I get a menu of W126's I can click on one and scroll through the menus for different procedures. Ie Maintaince, climate control, electrical, suspension and body, and engine.
