You test the max speed on the same test drive for the brake work ? You SDL guys just THINK differently from me.

I didn't say that I tested max speed, Greg. I simply stated that I reached speeds that you can't reach.

Probably about 75% of max.

Besides, it shows confidence in the ability of the mechanic.

They came in MB boxes with MB parts tags on them.
The boxes had massive dust layers = very old stock.

Your trailing arms where rusting out.
The break would have happened in time, changing the springs only accelerated the failure.
FMEA = Failure Mode Effect Analysis would prove this is an expected failure mode from age and corrosion.
