OTOH,
I have bought amps for my 240D and 300SD for less than $150 completely rebuilt. 2 screws and it's out.

I've used the one in the SD for about 20k now and it works fine. I have a two year warranty on the amp, so if it goes bad by then, I'll just get another one.

But if I couldn't get it to work right, I'd be all over an aftermarket CC. I drive 130 miles a day and NEED it.

Interesting install, though I do like the idea of using the stock switches and sensors as this makes for a less "scabbed in" setup, course it takes a bit of time

My cruise on the benz works well except when one of the pins gets finnikey (I haven't taken the time to fix it) and all it requires is a little jaunt with my foot to get it working again
