I just wanted to post and briefly thank everyone for the accumulated knowledge and DIY help that is found here on the shopforum. I have a silver '83 300TD wagon for less than one year now and many occasions this site and the search function has helped me through annoying things that no longer plague this car. I can now say there is nothing wrong with the way this car runs and she seems reliable. Vacuum, idle, suspension and electrical help are but some of the things I have benefitted from.
This is one of the best auto DIY/enthusiast sites on the web (in my limited experience). It really helps me out, as living in WVa, there are few MB mechanics here (except for the dealer that charged me $3300 for ball joints and axles and other things; which proved to me I don't have the spare cash or spare patience for returning often to the dealer). Thanks again! --Christopher |

I agree with above and think this site is priceless. Before a forum member told me about it I always just drove my cars. Well those days are long gone as the cars are now always off the road being repaired or updated by me.
