Was ist das?
My car is 1993 300SD and is running well at 154K.
I noticed that my injectors have plastic sleeves/shields/boots that fit around the injector body (to keep stuff out of the injector cavity?) Anyway, the ravages of time and temperature have caused two of these sleeves to begin to crumble. (see attached picture). What are these called? A part number would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob |

I have come across those collars before, they are a 350 specific part. I couldn't find the part number but I am sure either Phil or a dealer could get them for you. You will also need the injector heat sheilds since you will be pulling the injectors. Get about 1 meter of that braided return line as well.

Rob,
When I replaced the injectors on my 91 300D, I tried to find these same shields. After several calls to MB parts sources I trust, I was told that MB doesn't use them anymore. When they looked up the part number, they were listed as no longer available. Hope this saves you some time. Brian
