What is a VW Eco Diesel vs Plain Diesel?
I saw an ad for a 91 Jetta Eco Diesel. Claimed to be 1 of 50 imported in 1991. How is the Eco Diesel different from other VW IDIs?

The Eco was a turbo diesel. The turbo wasn't really used for more power, mainly just to imporve emmissions. No boost enrichment, so you didn't see much of a power improvment over the NA models.
