If I didn't have to go into that socialist territory where your second ammendment rights are denyed (DC) I would have guns in my car too.

For now I am joking, but when I get my concealed carry permit I might not be. You need to be 21 in CT I think.

I will buy one of those hand cannons one day though.

A gun is a gun but look at it this way:

Some punk pulls out a little 9mm and you produce said cannon, it may make him think twice. You don't have to worry about the other guy wearing body armor either.

I wouldn't bother screwing around with an auto...takes to much time to police your brass. Wheelguns are self-policing!

if only I had a glove box!

Instead I have the worlds largest airbag unit. I think there must be parachutes and a life raft in there its so large.

anyhow - does anyone know where to buy those mini luggage nets you get on new MBs down in the passenger footwell area I've searched the net several times with no luck. The MB dealer says he cant order one as there is no part number (why do I bother asking ).

luggage nets anyone ?

I'm in Texas so we think of glove box contents in different terms. Since it is a soft surface inside and of adequate size, I prefer a Colt Government Model .45.

Have a great day,

I didn't think a larger diameter slug would make a difference there. Especially .50 action express, which may or may not have the velocity to wedge between the fibers in a ballistic vest, and when you consider that those same cartridges are usually not FMJ but JHP, what you'll have is something that breaks ribs and creates concussion(which would probably kill just the same). Some of the newer vests will stop some powerful rounds.

I keep a length of injector return hose in my glove box and an assortment of fuses. I've used the hose a couple of times for leaks on the road. What are the specs for the transmission shifting clips ? Is that a standard part import parts store would have?

I'm no fan of the 50AE but, I have to admit it packs quite a wallop.

See here:
.50 Action Express (.50AE)
weight
21.125gm JHP

muzzle velocity
1,400fps

muzzle energy
1,418 ft/lbs

Registration, insurance papers, night driving glasses, sunglasses, napkings, fuses and lamps. No gloves, though, they live in my coat pocket...

...and one 'feminine sanitary product' that my wife insists be there for emergency use only...

It's a running joke between us, and there is on in every vehicle, including the BMW K1200LT!

Best Regards,
Jim

I thought the .50AE rounds were FMJ? I am sure you can get them.

I would not worry about body armor with one of those. It is one heck of a big slug if it doesn't kill you, you won't be walking away.

What about mounting a Barret .50 rifle in the rear window? Or I could have it sticking out of the sunroof.

I was watching a show where they were blowing apart engine blocks with one!
