1983 300SD Aux. Fan Froze up
My aux. fan froze up. I went down to the boneyard and pulled one off of a 1985 gasser. The fan is much larger but fits right on (had to move the horns over) Will the larger fan have any adverse effect on the car?

As long as you are not overworking your alternator.... I don't know how many amps and boom box speakers you have.... it should just help your car..
Of course you are assuming that bigger around means more air flow.. but blade design and motor speed affect that... |

Thanks Leathermang. No boom box - too old for that. I did not consider the spped of the fan. I think it was a 500SEL that I took it from. Also got 2 beautiful front leather seats for only $24 each. All of the electronics work. The only problem is that I have two burgandy leather seats in a blue MBtex interior. I guess some of us have no shame.

Doesn't bother me that you have two toned interior.... If they are comfortable keep them...
