Front Bearings on '81 300D

I went to the local Napa Parts store to get a set of front wheel bearings and they asked if they were 50mm or not. I asked them what the computer said... they said it didn't tell them. Frustrating. Does anyone know what size of wheel bearing goes into the front hubs on a 1981 300D?

Take one off and take it in with you. Be careful of the quality of the bearing you get at a NAPA. I'd sure stick with one of the big guys like Timken etc.

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do that given my 300D is my transportation source.

Do it in the NAPA parking lot.

Surely someone will have a wheel bearing laying around and be able to give you that info. I don't - sorry.

The front wheel brgs for the '85 300D are Timkin bearings

LM48548 and M12649

I can't guarantee it but I would guess they are the same as the '81.


Don't forget to replace the seal too.
