Thanks to this forum

and it's members I was able to scratch an automotive itch I've had for awhile. Unlike previous automotive adventures I have a very good sense of what I am getting into by lurking on ths board. I purchased Dieselmans 85 wagon. Vehicle was as described and there were no major surprises on my end. Got 25 to 26 mpg on the way home. Immediate needs are front shocks and AC. One of the recent owners dropped over 5K in repairs inlcuding various front end parts and the AC system "rebuilt" twice. One of the repairs replaced climate control push button unit. It also has a slow vacuum leak somewhere - looks like a mityvac is the next tool purchase. Also a public thanks to Andersbenz for helping me avoid a mistake in Texas awhile back.
