but to say they go a million miles with no problem, WHO YOU KIDDING, BUSTER?

Tis a nice looking car though, despite the used car sale verbosity. I think the seller saw 200 K on the odometer and decided to move on.

Well, at least he didn't claim that it gets 50 miles per gallon. Still, it would be interesting to see if he can provide documented evidence of a single MB engine going a million miles without an overhaul, let alone a 2.5 turbo.Even that W115 220D (240D?) that made it past 1 million miles did so on a rebuilt engine.

i am thinking that the million mile 190d that the factory bought back was done wo an overhaul.... hard to believe though...

that 1968 220D made it to 908,000 on the original engine, then it got a short block to go the rest of the way.

4 rebuilds actually....I don't know whats worse the people who make these claims or the people who fall for them?

the one i am thinking of was a round body...i think. pontoon body. pre fintail.

Seller of an '87 300D turbo is saying "there are 300D's with over 1 million miles and still on the road!!!"
