Weight of 300D engine - which stand to use

I am about to put my 1980 300D engine on an engine stand for
a tear down and rebuild.
How heavy is this engine ? The stand I have now is rated for 750 pounds.
I can get a stronger stand if needed.
I seem to remember that a 454ci Chevy was in the 680 pound range.
This 300D seems a little lighter than that .

Any ideas from anyone ?

Thanks

I think these engines weigh between 500 and 600 lbs....definatly no where near 700.......and probbaly under 500 with everything removed from it before you hoist it out.....

It will be pan to valve cover, no manifolds. That head is pretty heavy though.

Turbos?

The turbo engines are quite a bit heavier? Maybe not for just a long block, though? Beefier crank and whatnot....

Jay.

Complete or longblock?

Under 600lbs. with all the trimmings, or just for the long block?
