I am with you--if it were close and could be had I would buy it for $300-$400 and ride around my neighborhood in it waving like a celebrity in a Thanksgiving Day parade.

Better yet, I would pick up my dates in it on Friday night!!!!!

If you could find one, which I havent seen in YEARS, a Chevette with the little diesel. Has I believe an 81 or 82 when I was in HS and college and used to get like 50+ mpg!

There is a 190D listed in an auto paper here in Indiana for around $750. It's an automatic. I think it's an '87 and the ad says it runs. My brother averages 38 in his 5 speed 190D when he was doing more commuting.
