Due to a business my wife & I have started, a station wagon would better meet wy wife's transportation needs than the 240d. My wife has expressed interest in the w124 (she also likes the w123). Are the w124 6cyl diesels just as easy as the w123's to maintain? Are there any electronic controls? And are there any things besides the exhaust diaper (ie trap oxidizer)to be aware of when I look a 124 over (I've found 2 for sale within our area). My personal vote is for the w123 wagon since they are very easy to maintain by the DIYer & I have a stockpile of spare parts. Your input & opinions are greatly appreciated.
