This glossy Diamond Blue Metallic updated ’95 (E320) bodied car features a fresh $5000 paintjob over a dent and rust free body. All gray plastic pieces and chrome trim have been professionally color matched for a sporty and modern look. The Front end is dominated by the S600 Avant-Garde Grill and flat hood badge. The modernized and aggressive look is tied together with the rare OEM AMG 2 (Urethane) bumpers and spoilers. Installed on this W124 is the sleeker E-class hood, flat moldings and a RARE European trunk panel. The car features updated lighting all around with Exclusive E500 (Chrome) European Headlights upfront equipped with (7000K) HELLA H4 Bi-xenon (Purple-Blue Color). In addition to the detailed accessories and outstanding bodywork this W124 features OEM 18” AMG 18x8 Thin Spoke Wheels ($2000) mounted on NEW performance tires. The interior of this W124 is very unique and one of the nicest out there. With all of the interior, carpets and seats replaced with the one of a 95 E420, everything looks almost new. The 2 toned nappa leather AMG E55 steering wheel is the centerpiece of the interior, standing behind it white faced and chrome ringed gauges. Instead of traditional wood trim you will find glossy smooth Aluminum painted surfaces that match very nicely with the theme of the car. Not to mention this W124 features a fully functional Blaupunkt Navigation System, Radio, Ten Disc Changer and Speakers. The 3.0 liter Inline six engine of this 300E is original and in good working condition for its age and has been maintained regularly at a reputable shop. The engine is especially responsive and strong. This tuned power plant can be heard from the Remus ($550) rear muffler that lets off a sportier and deeper tone. Acceleration is improved (0-60) with the rear differential of a 300TE installed. With all of the suspension components upgraded and rubber bushings replaced this 300E handles like a true sports sedan should. The aggressive stance is provided with lowering springs, sway bars and shocks which give this W124 a controlled and firm ride without being too harsh. This 300E can carve through canyons as well as it can stop with it's brembo drilled rotors and huge 4 piston ATE V8-spec front calipers.

A few comments/questions:

1) WOW!!!

2) Your stock diff ratio was 3.07. The 1988-90 wagons had a 3.27 ratio, 91-92 have 2.87, 93-95 dropped to 2.65. I assume you have the early TE diff with a 3.27 ratio.

3) I always wondered what fog lights would work in the W124 AMG bumper, since they normally come with pencil beam driving lights. Do the C36 fogs fit perfectly, or were some mods needed...?

4) The E420 calipers won't bolt on. Did you swap on the E420 knuckle & hub as well, or use the E420 lower control arms? I assume the rear brakes are stock size.

Most sellers want more for their cars then they're worth.

$15k is a lot for an '86 300E, but yours just might be worth it. The cost of the mods alone is worth $15k.

The only thing I would do to this car is install illuminated sill plates... :p

Does the center visor still work (does not appear so, mirror blocking it I think)

How well did the auto dimm mirror fit, it looks like you used the regular CLK base and not the W124 base.

GSXR - The E420 brake system required me to replace both Control Arms to the 93+ ones.

I have the early 300TE diff with the 3.27 ratio really helps acceleration, but top speed is 137mph.

Fog lights are OEM AMG foglight, same ones found on C36. They fit properly!

2phast - My CLK Auto Dimming Mirror Install is Flawless, it looks and works perfect OEM!(The Mini Visor no Longer comes down as the mirror is positioned higher blocking any light making the mini visor useless) The CLK mirror bas was not modified at all!

The Burlwood I had was profesionally prepped and painted Aluminum Color at a specialty shop.

The nappa leather AMG E55 Steering wheel is Fully Functional, Airbag and All!

How much did you spend on all this? Why the h--- are you selling it?

Drop me an email as I would like to discuss your car. Specifically, would you be willing to sell your car without those wheels? Other than that, I like what you have done, although 15k is quite a bit more than what it is worth, (I know to duplicate your car it would be at least that much if not more).

I had quite a bit into my W201 and was lucky to find a buyer willing to pay what he did (although I did get about half of what I had into it)

1. What is the offset on your AMG W211 18x8 wheels? I wonder if they will fit on my 300ce?

2.How much of a difference does the 300TE 3.07 Ratio Rear OEM Differential make? Why did you choose this particular one?

3. How hard was it to make the nappa leather AMG E55 Steering wheel fully functional, airbag and all ?

4. Any information that you can share about the Hella H4 Bi-Xenon Kit 7000k would be extremely appreciated. Is that better the relay kit?
