Other brands of Diesel Purge..

Are there other sources for a similar "diesel purge" product?
Do the big rig guys have a product they get from the dealer.
I can no longer get DP at my Euro car parts store and want something my friends and I can get locally?
I see online for $32.50 for 2 cans ..

In reality it's not that much money. Most people only do it every 6 months, I do it every 3. I also put Mystery Marvel Oil with every fill up up to keep the injectors clean and lubricated. MMO only costs 2.50 for a 32oz bottle at Walmart.

Tried diesel purge once, didnt like it - seemed too severe - like it was scorching the system. Am wondering if using it too much is bad for the engine.

I've had better luck with Diesel Kleen in grey plastic bottles at truck stops..... improves performance and cleans the fuel tank too. 4-6 ounces treats an entire tank of fuel. You can treat 200 gallons for about $15.

Try using BG's 44k. I put that in the tank every so often and works great!

Does diesel purge help with smoking

Mine seems to be smoking a lot lately. It's hot as he** lately in Phoenix. Does that have anything to do with it. It runs good but pulling out...smokes pretty good.

The local Wal*Mart carries Diesel Kleen. I tried it along with a 250 mile drive. The combination seemed to help. The previous 200 miles were all local. Treats a lot of fuel for a reasonable price and raises the cetane. I am not sure what the stuff is but it almost strikes me as used lacquer thinner.
