What to do when you have a shot brake booster? (85 300D)

What to do when you have a shot brake booster? (85 300D) I have a massive vacuum leak on my 85 300D brake booster, I guess its shot. What should I do ? Is this a major or simple repair? Would it be better to buy one from a Recycler or New. What is the cost new? I can drive the car by plugging it, but it sure stresses your Legs!

See if you can get a remanufactured one first.....Why you ask?

When mine failed on my W116 all the used juck vendors wanted $99 for a used one....I found a remanufactued one at Partsusa for $114 with a warranty....

see my point....$15.00 got me a remanufactured one over the cost for a used one....

And yeah I know what your thinking...but W116's aren't exactly common in the pick and pulls around here.
