Glow plug reamer 18 x 1.5mm (old style plugs)
Anyone have a glow plug reamer 18 x 1.5mm (old style plugs) that would work on a '77 240D. I priced one at http://www.samstagsales.com/mercedes.htm#diesel
for $153.88 . Couldn't I just get a small cylindrical wire brush and scrub it out. Then rotate the engine with the plugs out to blow the crap out? Unless one of you has a tool to loan or a better idea. Thanks, Glenn |

All they have on ebay are the new style plug reamers...not the right threads.

People have talked about using a drill bit (by hand) as a reamer. Mine are pencil type and so is my reamer....I also used a shop vac. necked down to a small tube to delicately vac some of the carbon crud.
