I couldn't even get my hand in there to get the socket on the nut. I guess I'll just have to give it another go.

Put socket on 1/2" ratchet. Shove socket into tight space, perpindicular to axis of engine. There is barely enough room for the width of a 1/2" ratchet. Rotate socket 90° so it's now aligned with engine centerline. Move socket and wrench rearward to engage nut. Wrench moves to the furthest aft point in the available space. It's a PITA, but you get reasonably good at it after about 30 tries. ![]() If you don't have the deep socket for the injectors, then you need the perfect length of extensions to get it right. I did this once, before the deep socket, but can't remember the proper length. |
