Could the engine in my 87SDL be a 350 and not a 300

I found a pic in another post of a 350. I have the same coolant hose conection next to the upper radiator hose.I know this engine was replaced. The head is a "14" did they use that head on 350 also? The hose runs from the overflow tank to the engine. On my car the connection is blocked and the hose runs from the tank to the radiator.

well yeah

he said it has been replaced.

so yes, it could be a 350. externally they are identical. find and post the engine # and someone will tell you if it is a 350 or not. hope it isnt.

Well they both look about the same. You need to find the serial number on the block and run it.

The radiator is also the same for all 603's (in W126's).

well

they sometimes, often actually, bend rods.

i suggest running a search on '350sdl' and 'rod bending' and 'rod bender'.

it has been discussed and cussed to death, sorry. i am too tired to go into detail tonight, but if you still have questions after doing search post and i will answer tomorrow, along with others i am sure.
