I honestly could not think of a better way to describe that sound to somebody who may have never heard it before......

I got an extra injector line and hooked up the injector outside the cylinder. It does not "pop" when I crank the engine. I also picked up another injetor pump (it was free) before I swap them (it seems like a pain the A**) is there anything else I can try? Is there a way to backflush in injector pump, or something.
Thanks |

A lot of good advice has been produced, so I won't repeat much of it.
Check return line, (but you may have short circuited the return to the feed side)? I've heard of running problems due to this, but it ought to start. Have you run biodiesel? That might have degraded fuel lines, but if any fuel pumps, it ought to at least try to start. How about draining tanks and filing with new fuel, or take a small container and feed directly to lift pump or even IP? Draw out a sample you're trying to run it with and see if it even burns! If it makes you feel any better, you're not alone. In the Monster Garage episode about the Anglia, 6 superduper drag racing mechanics couldn't get a Chevy engine to even backfire, so a $40,000+ car was crushed. |

I reread posts and saw you did introduce fresh fuel. Have you found anything? There are many of us awaiting an answer from your dilemna to hopefully learn something! Good luck!

Finally got it fixed
Sorry for the long delay ... you know the holidays ... thank you to everybody who gave advice ... it turned out to be a dead injector pump. I got an injector pump for FREE and was going to swap it out myself. However I thought it might be something else. I took it to a shop ... $2400 later my car runs again ... it was the injector pump however they spent 30 hours figuring it all out ... OUCH !!!
