The part behind the ignition tumbler came out

I have a 300TD 82 Benz and recently my ignition tumbler started locking up so I was able to take it out. I tried strting the car because it sat for a week and wanted to charge the battery.... OK so I wanted to go to starbucks.

It started OK. but my screw driver head locked onto the inner peice and it came out. Now I am wondering how to get it back in?

I'm attaching a photo of the peice. It sort of looks like I am going to have to take the whole ignition assembly off and do it that way. Does anyone have a link to any information for this.
