Fuse designation says "autom. transmission"?

My #14 fuse designation lists several things and then says "overload protection (autom. transmssion, etc...)". What is this fuse protecting on the transmission? Just wondering.

Thanks
Andrew

I imagine it must be the kickdown solenoid and switch.

If yours is wired the same as my '85 then I would agree with the previous post. When that fuse would blow for whatever reason, the kickdown switch would quit working.

The overload protection they are speaking of is the overboost solenoid power
