Where would the removal and replacement of a half shaft fit in the scheme of things?

Well, the question is whether the list should be strictly engine related or vehicle related. I had limited it to the engine because the original poster has used the term "diesel" and not "vehicle".

The list would grow significantly if I added all the possibilities for suspension, brakes, driveline, and differential with axles.

I'd put that job at about #18 on the list for the engine, give or take a couple.

Sure, let's not leave this as a great post, but take it all the way to the "excellent" level.

Full vehicle, please, not only engine.

Thanks,
Dunl

Hey, I'll be happy with what you posted for the next couple of months to keep me busy.

Seriously, though...thanks for all the help. I'm an African Cichlid fish fan, and I've done the moderating thing before and now for beginners....I know what work it can be sometimes, although it's still enjoyable and rewarding. Thanks for doing what you enjoy - it's helps us a lot.

PS. Be nice to see this list get put somewhere as a sticky.....("paging Whunter....paging Whunter........")

Anytime. I'm happy to help when I can.

Don't get Roy started..............he'll hijack the thread and haul it over to the DIY forum.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

But if you're just looking for things to do, then you're a lucky SOB.
