Squeaking wind noise

When I drive the 300D fast or if their is a strong head wind, I can hear a loud squealing/ squeaking sound coming from the passenger door area. I'm sure it has something to do with an air leak. Note: My mother had a 1976 Pinto - can I say that in the same paragraph as Mercedes? - that sounded exactly the same. It was air escaping through the seals. I'm wondering if maybe there is a vent that is stuck shut and forcing the air through the seals.

Anyone with a similar problem?

I have this same problem in my '81 300d, happens especially in windy conditions. Mine also does this when I have the blower motor on.
I'd like to know what the culprit is as well...

My old 300d does this but I think that it is the blower (which is shot) free wheeling in the wind.

Here's the deal.......

My '80 300D used to do the same thing. It was the door seals. Especially around the top area around the window(s).
Easy check: Drive down the road with a passenger. When it starts to squeeeeel, have them push a little on the top of the glass of the door making the noise, or just pull on the door handle to pull the door in tighter. The noise will either stop or change pitch. If it does either, it's the door seal gone bad (hard. flat) for sure.
I changed all 4 of mine in an afternoon some years back. No more noise!!

Weeeeeeeeee , mine does it too but only when I have a stong cross wind. And is sucks cause it is the drive door that does it, right in my ear too. I determined is was the door seal by pushing on the door up at the top.

Where do you get door seals?

you can also "lube" the seals with armorall or similar. Sometimes it is just the door moving on the gaskets. Did wonders for me.
