Exclamation Just changed the oil now it runs a lil funny?

We did our own tune-up for my dads newly aquired 78 300D. When he drove it to work today he noticed a puddle of tranny fluid under the car after work. So we went out and bought new tranny fluid and a filter kit to see if it would solve the leak problem. which it did, We opened up the air filter and saw it was as black as my dickies(pants) so we bought a new air filter, oil filter, and Mobil 1 5w40 truck and suv oil. Because we assumed it wasnt changed in a while since they didnt bother to change the air filter.

We put in the new oil, oil filter, and air filter. Started the car and let it warm up. After warmed up took it for a drive and it felt rougher? We suspected either the tranny or the oil. Not sure but it did idle rougher and ran a little harder.

Any thoughts. By the way right now its running on pure D2 diesel no wvo yet, my dad wants to see how many miles he can get on one tank of diesel.

My dad says now it starts off sluggishly and cathces up speed slowly. This wasnt happening before the oil, filter, etc changes it was running great. It would start off pretty quickly and catch up speed fast. It didnt idle rough either and now it does
