I would buy it. Think of the novelty of having that many miles on your vehicle. Usually with that high, most are highway driven

I have 348K on my 83 300D. I hope it will go as far as 600K or more.

They seem to run without much care.

I do have Mobil 1 15W50, synthetic, in both the engine and tranny. I religiously change engine oil every 10K.

The car looks like it is in really good shape for 652K miles. That a lot of miles. Lots of opening and closing of doors and windows rolling down. 652K miles is something to be proud of. Not too many cars can make it that far. Most cars, by the time you hit 250K are a heap of trash.

I wouldn't want a new Mercedes. Too many electrical gadgets and gimgaws to break and malfunciton.

Maybe a brand new W123.

Ahhh yes of course. Hells no I dont' want a new one. But then again those new diesels that are comming out can't be all that bad. If it is free than I'm in. But if I had a choice I would snag another W115 or a 123 wagon. Ahhhh if only it was so. 700K more to go

I am actually thinking about adding this car to my collection!

(Having given my own '81 SD a trans service, K1 kit, and valve adj/filters this week, I'm confident that 600K is possible. Mine truly runs like new now at 239K. All they want is by-the-book maintenance. That car does actually look nice. Wouldn't it be fun to point out the odo reading while ferrying passengers in that?)
