Star Motor Service on Bees Fery Road, www.starmotor.com. does a lot of work with the local MBCA chapter. I've been there once for an event and they seem like good folks.

Thumbs up Try German

Auto on Rivers Ave...it's just past and across from the Navy hospital on the right if heading downtown. The shop from the outside looks rundown but the owner (Hans if I remember correctly) is very practical and very knowledgeable. They'll take time to answer your questions and not look at your funny... You'll know it b/c you'll see several 80-85 year models Mercedes sitting outside along the curb. Best of luck.
