No doubt your problem is with the veggie oil. It happened to me. Ran fine on veggie and then died. Veggie oil in an old tank will start to clean out the tank and lines and after some time it will all break loose. Know because been there done that. Hauled it in twice. Cleaned the tank and lines, changed filters and now it run fine on oil. Mercedes 1985 300D turbo, with 350,000 mile on it.
