Of course but one can still make money off short lived things. I'm not in the position to at the moment but if that Bio stock fell 90% in one day I could make a lot of money off that drop.

I dislike the stock market but know that money is made on the up and down sides.

Tell you what, I can put you in the position if you can tell me which day the drop will be. We'll get disgustingly rich together.

Thats the trick. Making money on the way down is the easy part. Figuring out when things are to go down is the hard part. This is why I dislike the stock market.
