oil cooler hose overhaul disaster
Well, I wish I had taken a look at this thread before I proceeded to remove my oil cooler connection threads with the hoses Should have used the dremmel.
Is it possible to salvage the cooler by replacing the threaded connectors on the cooler? I'd guess this would involve aluminum TIG welding. Are threaded connectors available for this purpose?

I just had a oil cooler repaired at a radiator shop for $40.
Thought it was a fair deal. At least let them have a look at it.

I found one at the junkyard for $10 and the old hoses came off very easily
If anyone needs my old oil cooler that probably could be repaired, just PM me. (only the bottom threads are gone)

I just did my lines, the job isn't really that bad. I soaked my fittings one day then loosened them right up, the inner line on the filter housing was the PITA due to space issues. Nothing stuck at all, I was lucky. If you kill a cooler, there's tons here at PickNSteal, maybe $30 or so MAX.
The motor mounts ya may as well replace while you're in there. I started the job around 4.30-5am today and was done before the sun was fully up around 6.30am or so. Don't forget I'm in the area if you need some help...
