Dad had called me up and said his 300D wouldnt start this morning. He had just filled it up the night before with diesel, he has his normal routine of starting it up let it warm up for 10mins or so and then goes to work. But he sayed this morning he waited for the glowplug light and it wouldnt even crank
![]() I asked him to make sure the tranny was in the park position because i know that prevents a start and he said it was on park. So then i was suspecting the vacuum but a loosend vacuum line would only prevent the car from shutting off no? much help appreciated.

Dead battery? Start with a voltage check on the battery.
Could be a bad ground or loose connection, so you should trouble shoot with a voltmeter. The starter could be bad, but you need to start with the basics. I wouldn't worry about the vacuum for starting.
