Title (NOT MINE)

Ok I have some wierd stuff going on here.

The other day (one week ago) I recieved a Oregon title. I figured it was for the 83 300TD I just purchased. I didn't even open it. I figured wow that came fast.

Yesterday I was looking through the title folder and realized I hadn't opened it so I did. The title was for a 1979 MB 123 4dr Gas. Thinking they really messed up a bit I looked at the rest of the information. Plate number is different and VIN. Has a Title Brands but nothing commented in it other than -NONE-.

I went to the DMV this morning and they said...Well...we can't do anything about it. It is your officially so we can't take it from you. They said it must have gotten mixed up from a dealer or something or who really knows. So I left knowing nothing.

Some other Odd things are that (stupid me I mixed up the envelope or lost it so i don't know about postage dates) but it was processed 113005. About the same time I bought my first Mercedes but a 74 240D and I have the title for that. Got it about 2 months ago. Other wierd thing is the passanger registration on the bottom says expiration date is Jan 31, 01.

I'm figureing I better have this flagged so I don't end up getting in trouble when someone crashes the car, or gets a parking ticket and I end up getting screwed. Unless there are any other ideas out there that it could be beneficial. But I really don't want to screw someone over with the car if they are looking for it. I'd like to get it back to them but the DMV said they can't do anything about it after looking on the computer. They said unless someone contacts you the car is yours.

That is pretty much all the info I have. I'll take any advice I can get on here in the next couple days. Otherwise I'll call the PD and see what is up. Who knows maybe someone gave me a car and I just don't know it haha yeah right!!
