Yep; I had a EURO 85' 300D without the turbo on it. It was a pretty good car, nowhere near as fast as the ones with the turbos (alsmost scarry merging into traffic). I liked the car alot; I found that the seats were way more comfortable than the US seats.

not worried about speed, I've got a 2 mile long on ramp to get on the interstate at home and the one leaving work is a mile and a half long!
(here's my 84 turboD on that onramp, stopped the video after about 1/2 mile heh: http://www.macomber.net/300D/09/accelerate.AVI) oh by do I miss that car...

Out here some of our ramps are measured in Feet. It gets to be a close your eyes and pray experience sometimes.
By the way if you happen to get the car this weekend I am selling my ERUO light on ebay and will give you free shipping if you have a need for them. I found on mine that they gave way better light and looked way cooler. The Video was great; I replaced my EURO with a 300SDL and I miss the noise that the 617 engine makes. Good Luck on Saturday --Matt

If it's a stick, it would actually be nearly as fast as the US turbo model. The '85 might even have a 5-speed! That would be neat and very rare in this country. Is it a W123 or W124? Let us know what you find out.

W123, euro bumpers, US spec lights and I can see some rust in the pictures so I'm not getting my hopes up for anything great.
it's a bit more money than I've got but if it's got a manual...

Manual AC controls are almost as good as manual tranny. Seems like I remember that Euro models weren't undercoated like US spec cars, and tend to rust more. (something like that.....)
