NEED HELP, PLEASE point in right direction, oil problem

Just started driving my NEW 78 300CD non turbo.Has low miles, aprox 160k .Speedo works most of the time.Although my first diesel this car has a lot of power. can hit 90 really quick.
MY PROBLEM IS OIL.The air filter has to much oil in it. it appears to have a breather problem. when i park the air cleaner drain hole leaks a large puddle under car.About six inches around.Today i noticed the air filter has a lot more oil in it than just 40 miles ago.
so any way can someone point me in the right direction as far as checking the breather system.
I do not think the rings are bad cause it runs so well
Sorry for the long post, will also check my cd and previous post.
this is just so much faster than reading 500 post
Thank You
Rich

My guess is... vacuum pump

Check the line that comes from the vacuum pump to the air filter, I had a vacuum diaphram tear and it pushed oil into the air filter. It left the filter a mess and a puddle under the car just like you described.
