Sprinter Engine

I have read about the diesel engines used in the Dodge Sprinter vans.
The 2.7L has 154HP and 243 ft. lbs. of torque.
The 3.0L has 224 HP and 375 ft. lbs. of torque.
I find the size horse power and torque to be incredible!
Are there any engines any where near these that were used in Mercedes cars?
