Got a 99 300TD with only 22,000 miles..Taking it in to the MB dealer to fix a minor problem... At 22,000 miles the "Book" doesn't call for much maintenance.
Are there things I should ask for because of the cars age?

Don't get me wrong BUT...... That would be leaving yourself wide open for a BIG repair ticket. I don't know if you are into the "Do it Yourself" thing but there are alot of service jobs you can do yourself and learn about your car at the same time.
I would service the cooling system if it has never been done.

Transmission fluid and filter change.

Also any fluids such as coolant and brake are probably due based on time.
