Also, it cost me $80.75 to title and register the $4,375 low NADA value car in Arizona on top of the $285.50 it cost to register it in Vermont. I mailed off the paperwork to Vermont on January 21st and received the plates and registration by February 11th, so it took a total of three weeks. No inspection of the vehicle was required in Arizona.

A vintage vehicle would have to have a low NADA value of about $19,000 to bring the Vermont registration fees to about $1,200. Most of the cars we are dealing with here are not in this category.

Well the prices are definitely way cheaper in Vermont than here in Washington then. But ya anyways I am just completely amazed they would do this.

1984 300d with manual transmission

This would have a lot of really necessary parts.

California '99 E300D turbo $3000 wow!

I don't see any mileage figures but the seller has done a lot of work, the paint looks fine and its not a salvage title!
I note it has what looks like cloth seats, might be aftermarket covers but that bears asking. O/W this is a great car at a good price if all is as they claim and it doesn't need a new engine or something major :)

Yes that is a good deal, and yes those appear to be seat covers on the front.

tdoublenastywitit 08-02-2019 09:36 AM

What do u guys mean it's a good deal and he's done a lot of work??? He changed the brakes and topped off some fluids... And if must have about 300k on it if the seller isnt interested in disclosing that Info off top

Seller revised the listing, now shows 300 in the odometer box and price dropped to $2800
weak demand for diesels.

1974 Mercedes 240 D Garage find - $2000

1974 Mercedes 240 D Garage find - $2000 (COON VALLEY)

1974 Mercedes-benz 240d

fuel: diesel
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
type: sedan
Here is a 1974 Mercedes that has been kept inside a garage for the last 20 years . Came from orig owner.I replaced all filters ,cleaned out fuel tank and strainer . New injection pump . New lift pump, changed oil . I am getting fuel up to injectors but cant get it to start. I dont have an injector tester or a compression tester to see any further. I am not a diesel guy and dont have any tools or knowledge of what to do next. I bet there is someone that knows how to work on diesels that can make it go. It has 108k orig miles tires are good shape with no weather cracks . Interior is mint condition and picts dont show it. Exterior paint has fade but i tested a small area with color back and it looks like it will clean up great. Title is clear . I am needing the space so i am gonna let her go for 2000 . If no one wants it local i will probably put it on ebay . Let me know if want to see it . Located in coon valley Thanks

My guess would be IP not installed correctly. Off timing, or off by 180.
Glow plug problem.
Marginal battery turning starter too slowly.

I always sell for $1.00, because tax is paid when sold new,its a crime to tax again.

Looks nice! If it's not too rusted out I think it's a good deal. I'd have considered buying this when I was looking.
