Spring pad advice
I am moving onto restoring the rear ride height of my 300D. In the past 3 years it has slowly lowered, and now sits a tiny bit lower than the front... and it BUGS ME. SO, I am looking at replacing my rear shocks, possibly the springs, and definitely putting in thicker spring pads.
The end result I am seeking is an increase in rear ride height, so that the car sits a tiny bit higher than the front end. My question is this; How much height will I gain with the installation of thicker rear spring pads? I am pretty certain that I will be installing the thickest possible- 19mm. The car currently has whatever was stock for the sedan W123 300D in 1984.

brian carlton is the expert on rear end ride height.
he has performed extensive personal research on it. two thoughts increasing the spring pad height a given amount will about double at the wheel due to leverage. new shocks if yours are old will raise it some too. it is hotly debated to be from nothing to two inches. i will just say for sure you can often see it. good luck tom w
