What is needed for a proper Brake Job for all 4 wheels?

From what I know:

1) Pads
2) Rotors
3) Wear Senors but how many?

anything else that I'm missing? What brand of pads and rotors? I seem to be getting conflicting info on which brands are truly OEM.

Also, how much would the cost normally if you were to have this done at a shop?

I'm considing doing the job myself in the future as I've done the front brakes in the past on my Nissan Altima.
