I doubt you can have something that will pressurize the injectors to the appropriate pressure and have it pop. Gas injectors are at 50 psi to 100 psi which is easier. Some injectors are much higher so it will need equipment and not just a turkey baster or a Mitivac. I suppose the question is how often you are going to do it. Once every few years or a few times a day

Once again, the factory shop manual covers this in detail. There are many threads here that cover it well also. Learn to use the advanced search feature.

You can build or buy an injector tester, search. Check the DIY section.

well tk

when brownie and red were suffering the efeects of bad home brew the ONLY thing that improved them was an application of seafom and diesel mixed to the lm spec of 65% diesel. red ran well enough that my wife noticed it immediately on the hwy.

There is plenty of sludge and other hard chemical buildup that can removed with DP. Lots of passages, valves, and orifices between the lift pump and the nozzle tip that can be helped with chemical cleaning.

Biodiesel is more of a solvent than petro diesel. That's why some people show some performance/running quality improvement after running B20/B100 for a few thousand miles.

I know what's in DP and I've seen with my own two eyes what kind of change two cans of the stuff can do to mechanical injection diesels.

Now, if you want near perfect injectors the only way is to pull them, check the spray pattern, set the pop pressures, and/or replace the pintle assy.

DP is NOT a cure, it's an aid. If you cant afford the $150 to swap out rebuilt injectors or don't have the tools to do a rebuild yourself, then DP CAN help as a temporary band-aid.

I'll admit, I've never used DP on my car. I used a rebuilt and matched set of injectors from Tom Judd.

But how much can it work? IOW, are you limited to it working if you have maybe a little buildup or what?

Cost me $50 to do the injectors. Test all 6, fix one and retest the bad one.

The injection system will deliver far more volume than will pass through the injectors. Again, DP won't clean the injectors.

The system will trap some crud that is meant to be left trapped and not released where it can do harm. Check the thread by Beagle in one of the links that I posted.
