Door Locks nor Cruise work and now the AC will not open any vents...I changed my plugs no too long ago - so I may have knocked something loose...
Check out Sam Ross' link in POST #5 of this THREAD, I think he answers your Question with his photo IF your "Yellow Check Valve" is the same as in his photo... which is still viewable at:

I think that your "...single nozzle on the front..." was knocked loose and I also think this connects to one of the vacuum connections that come off of the main Vacuum Pump -to- Brake Booster chamber/chamber. Sam did NOT label that connection but I think I'm correct that it needs to be connected to the main vacuum source line some how! Let me check my 240D and get back to you!

My Yellow Check is a little different - the back two plugs are connected to a Solid Yellow and the other back plug is connected to a Yellow with Black stripe...there is not a t connector as in the picture...The "front" plug with the indention is the one we cannot figure out where it connects too...A little father son Christmas fun today - but we cannot find it for this '85 300D!

That is hooked to the front most nipple on the main vac line, eventually, there are branches on that.

Alex- After you finish creating the vacuum diagram from your car, please post for the rest of us, with some nice photos, if you can. Thanks.

Welcome back Alex... I hope your hobby down there in Chile is NOT exploring old copper mines ! <--[a joke !]

Q1 - Am I correct to assume you are talking about the same 1987 W124 Chassis station wagon with VIN WDBEB93D8HF034388 that has a 603 6-cylinder engine?
Q2- What's your project this time?

These cars have distinct and separate vacuum systems:
(a) Vacuum shifting which you worked on before...
(b) Vacuum door-lock system but I believe your car has a separate electric vacuum pump for it's vacuum source...
(c) Vacuum controls for the heater & air conditioning...

Q2-What are you trying to repair?

Steve

I noticed this line as well above brake pedal coming from 1982 300d engine compartment, tangling and uncovered. It being a vent line - I assume this should not be blocked off? Thank you

Correct, don't block it off, it's used as a bleeder for the vacuum transmission line.

Does anyone by chance have a source for the little rubber T's used to split the vacuum lines?

You can pull good ones from a junkyard car, or you can buy new ones on this site. Search the parts section for "vacuum".

The picture in this thread with the yellow check valve is not quite right. The wye (3-way connector) should be BEFORE the check valve. The check valve allows the door lock vacuum reservoir to be charged and then creates a closed loop vacuum circuit to operate the door locks when the engine is shut off. The black cruise control line, green HVAC line, brown engine shut off line and yellow check valve should all come off the second brake booster line independently using a 5-way connector. The tranny control and EGR come off the first brake booster line. And yes, the tranny vacuum line should have a black vented line going into the firewall.

Actually the picture is accurate. Same as my 1979 300D. The cruise control potentiometer/vacuum can on the early W123's shares a check valve with the door lock system and vacuum reservoir.

Additionally, since his car is a 1980, there's a good chance it does not have a vacuum controlled transmission, same as my car. So no vacuum lines for that at all.

It might not be indicative, however, of later W123's. They have a much different vacuum system.
