Adding MoS2 to diesel fuel?
I've read alot about MoS2 and its amazing ability to chemically bond with metals and provide excellent lubrication. Does anyone on this forum have any expertise with this lubricant? I was planning on doing a diesel purge soon and after most of the purge was used up, I was thinking of adding a little MoS2 to the container for the last few minutes of the purge. Would this have the effect of coating the injectors and IP with a nice thin lubricant film or are the fuel velocities just too high and under too high pressure for the MoS2 to bind to the metal surfaces? Or, even worse, would this do more harm than good?

If you want better fuel system lubrication, as little as 2% biodiesel will supply all the lubrication you need. Sulfer is a pollutant that causes acid rain, and that is why diesel fuel is going ULSD.
